Phoenicia is not just a great adventure - it is about inspiring people across the globe.  Cultural and artistic projects will play an important role in recreating the first circumnavigation of ancient Africa.

Damascus Arab Capital of Culture 2008
 Syria is proud to have been awarded Damascus as Arab Capital of culture 2008.  Throughout the year Syria will be hosting a series of cultural events to mark this occasion.  The Phoenicia team is planning to hold an event, in conjunction with Damascus 2008, to celebrate the launch of Phoenicia.
